Why I Started my YouTube Channel

Sometimes you have to die a little inside in order to be reborn, and rise again as a stronger, wiser version of you – Unknown

My YouTube channel has just reached 1000 subscribers. It has taken me a year and I really wanted to hit that target by July. My channel means a lot more to me then just the content that is produced and it has been my pride and joy since my life was dealt a new hand in 2013. Some of you may have followed my Blog back then when the proverbial “Shit hit the fan”.

After the events, that changed my life, I lost all interest in writing. In fact, to be honest, I lost all interest in everything. That is when I found my release. I created a YouTube channel.

Just like my old Blogging  site I wanted it to be a testament to where I was, where I was going, my likes and dislikes and a record for my children. It was also a way to keep my mind occupied and my focus straight.

When I started my YouTube channel I never even thought anyone would watch it. A little like my WordPress Blog. I can write words down as they feed from my mind but you never know what audience they are going to reach. This was the same for my videos. I have a great love of gadgets, movies, Star Wars, Comics, Star Wars, Travel, Star Wars…..you get the idea, but I also have a great love of knowledge, understanding, learning and interaction.

I am now 75 videos in and have realised that I have created my own video journal, my own account of what I was doing at this time and this really inspires me. The fact I get the share this journey with all of my viewers is an added bonus and I hope this fool does keep you entertained. (At least some of the time.)

I really do miss the writing though. I miss the interaction only words can portray. Sure I can do a video diary every day but I find you touch a more emotional level when words are put onto paper. This is why I am starting up my Blogging channel again to compliment my YouTube channel. I will link videos here but will also try to engage as many people as possible in a forum that I have grown to love.

Wayne has been reborn. It took a long time to find me again but I want to share the next chapter of my journey with you.

If you haven’t subscribed to my YouTube channel the link is here

Please also follow my Blog and I will try and keep you entertained for many years to come.

I have been looking back over my YouTube channel for the past year and come to an amazing conclusion. You have one idea for a channel and it grows and develops into something else.

When I look at my video history I talk a lot about collections, un-boxings with a couple of movie reviews and some nice footage of the places I have been. I steered away from the current affairs, the debates, my personal life and my personal opinions.

Why?

Perhaps it’s because I wanted viewers to share in my passions and for the most part I have achieved this.

I really want to start to give my opinions on things however and invite constructive debate. I really want the channel to be completely interactive with the viewer. Of course, starting down this road, like many other You Tubers will note, invites the trolls.

We live in a world where people want to be recognised. Whether that be for good or bad I have no idea. What makes a person want to hurt another? Is it to feel good?

What makes a person want to shoot down a nightclub in Orlando?

What makes a person want to shoot and kill a You Tube personality?

I sit back and think of all the things we have achieved as a species. From the advent of fire, to the creation of the wheel to the monoliths of society that are all around us today and I wonder.

Why are we all so hell-bent on destruction? The human race has become just that. A race to be better than your fellow-man. I think the whole living in peace and harmony with each other has gone wayward.

So how do we fix the world we live in? I don’t have the answers but something needs to change.

It would be great if the world had a reset button like a PC. Clean slate. Start again. It will happen one day but what way that will present itself is anyone’s guess.

What do you think?

How can the world be put to rights?

Pompey Bound

Nothing is more nourishing for the soul then a trip down to Portsmouth. On a hot evening, sitting outside the old “Still and West”, watching the harbour is a something that I could do indefinitely.

Haven’t had a beer in a very very long time but my little shenanigans this weekend certainly made up for that.

To end the weekend I went to see the Warcraft Movie. Yes, if you like the game you will probably love the movie. It started off slow, the middle was bad and the less said about the end the better 😀

The Dreaded Lurgy

Normally I wouldn’t bother you all with tales of my illnesses but this one is quite amusing.

I would love to tell you that I have man-flu but I can’t. Instead, nature has decided to give me a more localised illness squarely on my Larynx. I feel fine. I feel great. I feel chipper. Can I talk though? Nope.

The feeble grunts, moans and wheezes are all my lovely mouth can communicate and this has caused me a real problem.

Firstly, my job involves using my voice. I have to call service clients for car dealerships that their vehicles are now due for maintenance. As I found out last night, that was pretty much impossible to the point it was almost comical.

Next, I make YouTube videos. I have just had a LootCrate delivered and I can’t open it because I do not have a voice to communicate with. I could always mime what I want to say. Alternatively, I could play some jolly piano medley and reminisce in the days of silent cinema.

Please come back to my voice. All is forgiven.

Foxton Locks

It’s been a busy few day. Let me start by saying that when I recreated this Blog I had no intention of posting everyday. If you see me go a few days without a post then don’t panic. Chances are I am busy or making content for the YouTube channel.

Well, my eldest daughter has turned 18 and what better way to celebrate then a massive family meal at the “Foxton Locks Inn” near Market Harborough. I can’t recommend this place enough. With the gorgeous views you see in this picture and first class customer service you won’t go too far wrong. Anyways, I’m starting to sound like a TripAdvisor review lol.

I have been going to this place since I moved up to Northamptonshire and it definitely holds a place in my heart.

In other news. I will shortly be having the Star Wars Helmets and Millennium Falcon parts delivered soon so that is on the horizon. I’m also expecting the new Lootcrate any day now.

If you haven’t subscribed to my YouTube channel you can do so here.

Repairing the Garden

IMG_1204

One is near to God in the garden, then anywhere else on the earth

Way back in March I created a video in regards to how my garden looked after the Winter period. It was a really sorry mess and to say I had my work cut out for  me trying to get the lawn back in one piece was an understatement.

Mrs WorldofWayne is always amused when we go shopping I always pick up a box of grass seed. Yes, to get it to the state it is now in that picture has already taken 8 boxes of seed.

If you want a thick, luscious green lawn just follow these instructions. The patches you see in the picture above are now germinating although the lawn does need cutting.

  • Cut Lawn
  • Water Garden
  • Seed Garden
  • Roll Garden
  • Apply topsoil or compost over seed
  • Roll Garden

Repeat every time it is time to cut the lawn. Oh and don’t forget water. Even with the English weather I water it every day throughout the summer.

Check out how it was looking in March.
